Wieden + Kennedy x Nike XXV
Wieden + Kennedy is the world’s largest independent advertisement agency. 2007 marks their 25th Anniversary and they recently had a “Founders Day”. Among W+K’s current list of clients include Coca-Cola, Electronic Arts, ESPN, Sapporo Beer, and most notably Jordan Brand and Nike. These shoes result from a collaboration between a team from Nike and a team from W+K who worked together on this project for the last year. They celebrate the 25th anniversary of W+K and their relationship during that time with Nike. The upper is gray denim, and there are subtle details such as XXV on the forefoot strap, the story of the company on the insoles and the location of each of W+K’s offices. Each sneaker comes in a black slide box and includes a silk bag. There are actually six different colorways to represent the different W+K offices around the world. Green=Portland, Orange=Amsterdam, Yellow=NYC, Red=Shanghai, White=Tokyo and Blue=London. Less then 1000 pairs are to be created but we are unaware of how this distribution works regarding the 6 colorways. Image/Info: Alchemi
