Los Angeles based collective, The Seventh Letter Crew consists of a number of world renowned graffiti artists. They have taken their artistic talents to create a jewelry brand by the name of The Seventh Letter Armor. Each piece of Armor is handmade in house at the TSL studio – they don’t use any computers, or CNCs to make the jewelry. Visit www.tslarmor.com for a look at this process. For Spring 2008, California based Altamont pays homage to the fabled Inferno Festival. Crafting garments based on a Death Hula theme, Altamont will bring to the attention of the world three of the greatest unknown metal bands of all time: Child (artwork designed by Neckface), Wizard Hill (artwork designed by French) and Hematoma (artwork designed by Megadeth artist, J. Lorenzi). These three legendary bands joined forces for a concert held in the shadows of the Mt. Kilauea volcano in Hawaii. The event ended tragically when Kilauea unexpectedly erupted during an epic guitar solo from Hematoma’s lead guitarist, Bobby Blaze. Sadly, there were no survivors. Available the first week of March.

As well as dealing with the monumental effects of Murakami, discussion also revolved around how the art scene has developed in Los Angeles. For their 2008 Spring/Summer releases, look for the rarely seen Jack Purcell Mid in snake leather (based on a 1999 release), the All-Star Digilog Hi (based on a contemporary art collection from 1988), All-Star Asymmetry Hi (based on a 2000 release), All-Star Two Strap Shin-Hi (based on a laceless 2001 Chuck Two Strap) and ST Viphop Hi, an inspiration from the 1984 performance model Star Tech Hi.
