Earlier this year, Berlin welcomed with open arms an all new creative space known as MADE. Masterminded by Philip Gaedicke, Nico Zeh, Tadi Rock and Luise Biesalski, the space served as a homebase for creatives looking to push the boundaries of their visions and talents. In anticipation of the final presentation from the most recent resident, Ebon Heath, we interviewed Philip Gaedicke and Nico Zeh to gain a better understanding of MADE’s concept and the development of Berlin as a creative hub. This was capped off by a performance involving Ebon Heath’s “Typographic Ballet”, a complex series of words that have been essentially brought to life. One of Brooklyn’s finest in Talib Kweli was on hand to narrate one of the sequences with other involvements from journalist Tita von Hardenberg, poet Forough Farrokhzad, vocalist Parvin Namazi and singer/songwriter Max Herre & theater producer Kevin Ritterberger.
