KITH Kicks off the adidas Consortium World Tour With the Tubular Doom
Inspired by the cold, unforgiving concrete jungle that is New York City.
The inaugural adidas Consortium World Tour will see the Trefoil traveling around the globe, collaborating with some of the biggest footwear boutiques on very limited releases. The first stop is New York sneaker hotspot Kith and the reimagined Tubular Doom. First teased on Monday with a video preview, this fashion-forward tech-driven hybrid draws inspiration from the cold, unforgiving concrete jungle of NYC, boasting a cement grey Primeknit upper fortified by a charcoal wool cage for warmth. Additional details include robust marled elastic straps at the quarter panel and forefoot, as well as Kith’s slogan “Just Us” donning the heel guard. This winterized sneaker will be available this Saturday, January 23, at Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn, and the Kith Women’s store. The online release will also take place on January 23 on KithNYC.com at 12 a.m. EST.
