This Is Your First Official Look at the Norse Projects 2016 Spring/Summer Lookbook
Purist military-inspired cues combined with a Danish interpretation of seasonal flora.
As we slowly descend into this year’s spring/summer season, we are treated to an exclusive first look at Norse Projects’ latest lookbook. Exuding the usual Danish flair we have come to expect from the brand over the years, the 2016 presentation draws military-inspired cues and combines it with an interpretation of floral patterning for a cohesive line of durable silhouettes. Wholly purist, Norse Projects’ latest efforts can be characterized by an astute understanding for functional fabric, represented across a range of lightweight twills, over-dyed weaves and durable nylon ripstop all in an encompassing palette of matte colors. Rooted in a range of spring green, fungi, clay, and birch hues, the collection is complemented by tones of orange, elm, and botanical blue. With stylistic references hinting at a more Asian influence, the line’s textural elements do well to veer it away from appearing too boring and/or understated.
