Prince Has Passed Away at 57

Prince, the artist formerly known as 
, has reportedly passed away at the age of 57. According to TMZ, his body was discovered inside of his sprawling Paisley Park compound on April 21. The news comes just days after a reported medical emergency forced the artist’s private jet to make an emergency landing before the Purple One appeared onstage the next day to dispel any rumors of his ill health.
According to sources, he had been battling a serious case of the flu. He leaves behind a legendary catalog of music and films, along with an extensive and literal vault filled with as-yet unreleased material.
