If you know how you want them to be tapered, it'll probably be better for you in the long run and it'll be a lot faster for you to put your jeans on :p Remember to tell them to keep the selvedge and taper from the other side!!!!

^listen to Scotty's advice :p

The best way to stretch out the waist is to wear the jeans.

There has been a lot of positive feedback from using the dampened waist. Just spray some water on the waistband and then wear your jeans, do some squats and lunges, ride your bike, etc. and it should stretch out!

That's totally up to you man! Some people wash right away, others wait a little longer. I've seen great fades on raw denim that have gone through lots of washes and awesome fades on those that have only been soaked once or twice a year!

Ok so what would be better to get a nice fade? Washing or soaking? & If I soak, how often?

^ Yeah thats after they have been worn out for awhile.. Just soaking them or washing them with out any major wear is just going to take the dye out and make them lighter...

Nothing, the best fades are from wear.. Just wear them, stop worrying about the epic fades and if u should soak or wash to get them.. They will fade over time of with wear and the best looking ones are when people just dont care and just wear em with worrying..

^word, don't be anal about your jeans, they're built to last anyway so fuck shit up in 'em :p

Ideally you want to wear them in for quite a while to create that contrast. The soak/wash, as skizz & Scotty said, removes indigo from the jeans. If you've worn your jeans enough and there is some fading, a soak/wash will bring out the fades and contrast the high stress areas from the low stress areas. I've found that (with APC especially) after you've worn them for a while and then you do a wash/soak, you won't see much difference after the first wash/soak but the fades from wear develop quicker.

Seen a lot of debate about this and nothing definite, so I'll just make my question as specific as possible.

I'm looking to buy a size 27 in either New Cure or Petit Standard. I want the one with the tighter thigh and top block fit. While I've heard that New Cure is the way to go for this kind of fit, the measurements on Context suggest otherwise, so I'm not sure if this applies for the smaller sizes.

Anyone with experience with both cuts in this size that could let me know which is tighter once and for all? Thanks in advance.

Quick question, has anyone done the "trade-in" with their old pair of APCs? I'm just wondering how much the total came out to be. Thanks!

^ Yeah u get 50% off a new pair... But i dont think they are doing that anymore, not 100% sure though.. Also they a very strict on what the are going to take back, so if they are still doing it dont be disappointed if they say no...

Looking to get a pair of NS's. If I size down one what kind of fit am I going to get? I think two might be too much for me considering I don't want too tight of a fit. Thanks.
