No they're not.

If you want to get PS, and you think you're a size 30 or 31, buying a sized 29 should be fine for you. They run tight at first but yes they do stretch. But if you want a more loose fit, I would say get some NS's, and size down 2.

I think the PS is the skinniest model. The only thing that comes close would be the NC and according to Context's sizing chart the PS is slimmer.

PS size 29
Thigh:10.75
Knee:7.5
Leg Opening:7

NC size 29
Thigh:10.75
Knee:7.75
Leg Opening: 7.25

The chart shoes that the thigh is the same for the two models, the knee and leg opening on NC is .25" bigger.

quick insight

I am contemplating about getting a black pair of apcs but their tagged 29. I am normally about at 29-30 in waist size. will these be loose after stretching? or will they be fine for a loose straight fit?

If you are a true size 29 then buying a tagged size 29 will stretch to be to big. If you are a true size 30 then a 29 in the black NS should be fine, however, I'd suggest wearing a belt to keep the stretching at the waist to a minimum.

I've been wearing my PS about 6 times a week since August 1 and they are just starting to stretch out nicely. I can finally tuck my shirts in without it looking terrible. Is that normal? About a month and a half of wear until it starts to stretch?

If you are for sure a 30-31 waist, then 29s should be fine in the long run (tight in the beginning).

Selling APC New Cure in 27 worn for a week at home. PM me!

About 2 do my first after a year of wear any recommendations ? Should I soak with only water? Or put them in the machine on hand wash mode?

Hang to dry!

if im a size 30 or 31 waist regularly but a size 32 waist is comfortable in normal jeans, and i wear a 32 length. if i get a pair of petit standards in size 29 will they be okay? i dont want them too tight but from what i'm reading they will stretch out substancially and that they run big as is.

It should be alright, stretching comes from tension so the tighter they are the more they will stretch. Most people size down 1 or 2 (more so 2 I believe) in the PS. It sounds like the NS might be a better option for you if you are looking for a fit not so skinny.

They will stretch, you should find a smaller pair. If you're looking for a loose straight fit, you'd probably opt for the New Standard. Ideally you'd want to size down 2 so you'd be looking for a 28. It won't be worth it if they end up not looking right!

Hey, does anyone know if the APC store in L.A. is still taking worn pairs of jeans and trading for %50 off a new pair?

Haven't been keeping up with these things and I don't see the butler series on their website anymore.

Got my APC PS's today. Sized down 2 from my measured waist of 33" (to a tagged 31). I was able to button up all the buttons. I sized down 2 with my NS's a few months ago as well, but wasn't able to button up all the buttons. I remember it being much harder to fit in them with my NS's than my PS's.

So did I measure my waist right, you guys think? I thought you weren't supposed to be able to button it up all the way. Worried I didn't size properly... But dunno how I messed it up cause of what I wrote above about how I sized down 2 for NS's at March and those were so hard to put on (I recall struggling so hard to get the top button on for those. For these, I didn't struggle much at all). They feel tight around the waist though.

Thanks.

EDIT - The only difference was that I bought from Context Clothing and not the APC official website. Would that make a big difference though? Thanks.

I wasnt even going to quote this cause its the same shit in this thread now but if u looked at measurements the thigh is i a bit bigger on the PS than the NS on a tagged 31.. And there is no rule that if u cant button the top button u sized right.. Is just a pointer people will give cause if u cant button the top two then u have went down to much.. But if u can button all of them but still feel abit tight you will be fine.. Also APC is APC!

About how long does it take for APCs to get softer? I've been wearing mine everyday for close to 2 months and they're still just about as stiff as they were when I first bought them.

depends what you do in them.
the more wear and tear they go through, the harder the wear, the less time it takes to loosen up.
