Fit looks perfect, except for the stacking & cuff, but that's my personal preference. & if you haven't decided yet, soak them, water is good for denim.

I feel you. I'll double-cuff my next pair for sure. one can get the pair tailored at my denim shop for free but they can't chain stitch them.

What do you y'all mean by messed up stacks? The front or the back part?
Didn't really care about em, just wore those badboys.

Hi, I'm new here and I'm looking to get some N&F weird guys in the elephant2 wash. My waist is 33-33.5" and upper thighs are 23" I'm thinking I'd get a tagged size 32 or 31. Any size recommendations?

What I meant was cuffing & a lot of stacking at the same time. Either cuff with very minimal stacking or stack without cuffing.

don't downsize a lot with that stiff denim or you won't be able to button them up at all . . . you might want to look at a 33 if the thigh fits. check karmaloop with a 20% discount code from google to save a lot of money compared to full retail.

Get a size 32. You have big thighs to size down anymore! Theyll be really uncomfortable with the low rise and all. 32 should fit perfect. I got a 32 wierd guy indigo/indigo for sale if you r interested. Brand new with tags. $110 shipped USA!

Get a size 34 for a good comfortable fit. Sizing down on the Elephant 2's are just wayy too uncomfortable and not worth it just for some "sick fadez".

do you guys size the painter denim the same as the normal indigo jeans? not sure if these stretch more or less than the others. also, does anyone know if the painter denim comes washed or if it is raw, does it fade at all or stay pretty much the same color as it comes?

It should be raw denim, it's been around a month and it's starting to show some fading. Also I sized down two on my second pair because of the stretching. The first pair got ruined bad because of an accident, but when I sized down one, they still stretched a lot. Still feeling comfortable with just two down instead of one.

I'm going to be getting my first pair of N&Fs which will also be my first pair of raw denim, so excuse the dumb question.

I'm not into getting any crazy fades and quite honestly I want to get the texture of my jeans to be like any prewashed jeans preferably with no fades actually. Any way to do that? What'll happen if i throw them in the wash the day I get them?

I'm not sure if I understand what you want. Do just want prefaded jeans? Just get prewashed jeans or buy some used apcs via their butler program. Or do you want jeans that don't produce crazy contrast fades? If so, washing your jeans regularly.

I like N&Fs, (for the fit, the branding, etc.) but I really don't care much for raw denim. I was wondering if I wash my jeans right away will they be just like any pair of prewashed jeans?

They will fade less and less the more times you wash them. I would hot soak or wash them when you get them to get rid of the excess dye. Then just wear them like your regular jeans and wash regularly. That should produce a more subtle /a lot less contrasting fade.

if you keep wearing them, yes. All jeans eventually get softer.

thanks man, and washing and drying them right away won't ruin the color or anything right?

no problem, I would soak them and line dry if you want to keep them stiff and not ruin the color right away. The less you agitate them, the less color will be lost. If you have anymore questions pm me.

I think the powerstretch ones return to their original size rather than plastically stretching out. I think people either don't size down or don't size down as much because of this. I'm not positive though.

LOL.

Mistahdabolina, I aint going to internet argue with you anymore because it is childish. But this was funny.

To anyone random out there looking for advice. Listening to me, or anyone else, is foolish. The only way you will find your way into the right pair of NF (or any raw denim) is through trial and error, or through Jay at blue owl (provided you already have a favorite pair of jeans to guide him by). True story. Between personal style and cut preference, and a thousand other factors, wash and fit advice is only good to a certain degree. You have to take many factors into consideration, and the next guy will only have his experience in mind. The best advice is to start cheap and play around until you know what you like. Once you get past the right fit, you need to worry about wash. Again, this is trial and error. Hot soak, cold soak, ocean soak, ball sweat soak; it all depends on the activity you put into them and how hard you live. By "depends" I mean it is up to you to find out how you like your shit and how you want to carry it. It might take a couple of pairs to figure out the angle to your dangle.

I have put three of my friends into NF cuts and styles that they love. All three times my advice for fabric has come to personal preference, and for fit I have sent them to Blue Owl because Jay has it down. All the advice you need in one post. Decide what fabric you want and go to the pros for sizing.

If you're the type of dude who has to see the fabrics to decide or has to try everything on, get off your butt and go see them or TRIAL and ERROR your shit, like everyone else.

There's one thing that has held true throughout my adventures with NF, the fit on every fabric is different, regardless of cut.

Anyone know what physical stores sell N&F's? I know Barneys, Nordstroms, and Neimans but anything else?
