Told you those had more shrinkage in them! Now that looks like a 710 fit, much more flattering for your body.

Haha yes, you were definitely right about the shrinkage! Thanks again.

Yeah I am.

I was scared that it was going to shrink too much but it shrank perfectly! Definitely liking the fit more than before. Now I can wear the shit out of them.

nice fixed fit GOLDENi, and yours is looking steezy S&WSON.

danks guize. still no washes on mines, not yet stinky or dirty since the the third soak. prolly won't wash for a long time now that i'm rotating with my eternals.

soaked my 710's in boiling water yesterday and only thing that I found that shrank drastically was the inseam, any insights? and even though the waist for a size 30 on BiG says it's 31.5 I measured it yesterday and it was a true 30 and now when I measure it it still remained at 30. I think it's because I probably soaked it normally and not inside out?

Inside out or normal is basically makes no difference in terms of shrinking.

Are you sure you measured the same way both times? To me, it seems really unusual that the inseam could shrink "drastically" without any shrinkage at all in the waist.

yes I'm sure, I measured the waist right before soak to see how much it would shrink. I measured it with dip and it came out 30 pre and post soak. just the inseam shrank from 36 - 34

Fair enough then. I've actually had similar experiences at times with unsanforized denim, where the inseam shrank a lot but the waist shrank very little, but I've always had some shrinkage. Do they fit the same on you as before that soak?

Just got done with my hot wash, currently in the dryer in high temp.

I thought dryer damages the denim / makes it extremely soft.

I guess you thought wrong, mine came out pretty damn stiff out the dryer & it definitely took care of the shrinking. No damage done either.

Man I wish I could justify 300$ on these jeans.
So totally awesome.

Right now my most expensive pair is 24oz Naked Famous Weird Guy Slevedge.
How do these compare? (Newb alert)

These are WAY superior than N&F denim. N&F honestly doesn't come close in terms of quality.
The price tag is that high for a reason, definitely worth it.
I have a pair of Weird Guys btw.

I agree, I own a couple of pairs of N&F and maybe 10 pairs of various higher-end Japanese brands, including Samurai, and there is no comparison in the construction quality. The Japanese brands are all pretty close to each other in build quality, but the N&F isn't even in the same league as any of them.

Guess almost every reputable source on the internet is wrong then. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

Could I get a second opinion, please?

Dryers won't do any damage to the denim. They'll be a little bit softer than if you were to hang dry them, but nothing "extreme" that your other sources suggest.
