My levi's 501STF. Soaked twice, and machine dried once after the 2nd.

I just bought my first pair of 511s, and I LOVE them. Way more comfortable then I thought they would be.

LVC is about vintage details. With 501s I think they use foreign denim.
So really those MIA Levi's are just a throwback to how they were 30 - 40 years ago.

If you cold soak, they'll still shrink but they won't shrink as much as if you do a hot soak! Looking forward to the pics.

hey i dont usually wear levis so quick question

why is the rise 9 3/4 on the 514s and 10 1/8 on the 511s?

shouldn't the skinner jean have a smaller rise?

I recently bought some 511's with an inseam of 32. The inseam of 30 would show my socks when I sat down but now the 32 inseam is a little too long. Does anyone know if there are any alternatives to going to a tailor? like a snap, clip, or cuff? Thanks.

You can just cut 1/2" off and fold over when you stitch the hem back, make it a 31L. Cuffing is fine too.

First post on the forum.

I recently discovered the world of 510 super skinny jeans when one day this summer, before Pitchfork, I decided to just try a pair on at the Levi's store in Wicker Park. I don't know now if I'll ever want to wear another brand or fit. The pair that I tried on and bought were the Rigid Tumble (I'm not allowed to post links yet) wash and I planned on going back to grab a few more pairs a little later on.

I check the site about a week ago and they're on sale for like 29.90. Could've grabbed them then but didn't. Then about 2-3 days later I check back after getting some email about free shipping and what do you know...? They don't have them listed on the site at all. I call CS and all that they can keep telling me is that "it doesn't look like they're listed for the fall season..."

Does this happen often, and does anyone know if they might be returning? I don't understand how this isn't one of the most popular washes of all their jeans (and maybe they are), and they're gone now. Major bummer.

how do you guys like the Matchstick model? found a pair for like $50 but wasn't sure if i should have gotten em. Do they fade well at all?

They were really comfy but I was looking for something a little bit slimmer even they were pretty slim. I may have to go back and re-try them on. It's a toss up between those and 511 rigid dragons.

matchsticks seem to be better quality, best go with those. Try sizing down if you can to get a better skinny fit.

I LOVE THE 521's. Perfect fit, imo. 514 thighs with 511 taper.

Aren't 521s the same as 520s except with a higher rise?

I have the Rigid Slim jean jacket. It's a little stiff & I was wondering if I should give it a cold soak to help breakin it up?
