The trailer was beautiful; felt a bit like a Terrance Malick piece. Nolan's touch on the film is very apparent with Supe's somber discovery of his humanity. Will be premiering with TDKR this week.

pretty stoked from that footage. i wonder how much chris nolan's involvement is in this one. everyone's banking on the idea that chris nolan will tutor zak snyder to get the job done. but chris nolan could just be lending his name and money only.

if zak snyder only made trailers, he'd prob be one of the greatest directors of all time. blushing

well when watching the comic con panel snyder said that nolan came to him with the idea for a superman film. I wouldn't be surprised if nolan came in with the idea for a modernized, less cartoonish superman, with some basic plot ideas, character ideas and a basic vision for the film. Then snyder probably took it from there. The good thing about Nolan being there, even if he's only name and money is he's going to make sure to keep it in the new lens of DC superhero films that we've all come to expect and love.

The footage we've seen so far (Comic Con/trailer) has some Nolan influence for sure (darker colors and tone).

Nolan being producer = he gives the yes/no to details

I don't think we'll be disappointed. Wait until they release more footage.

is there really a new lens of DC superheros though? DC's follow up to The Dark Knight was Green Lantern... it makes sense since it's a Chris Nolan/Syncopy movie that it'd keep in same tone/physics of Nolanverse, but it doesn't guarantee that it will either.

not sure how darker colors and tone describe nolan influence. dark colors have been a staple of zak snyder movies (300, watchmen, sucker punch all are quite colorfully dark). the trailer is very nolanesque. it has some nice inception-type shots of the water/scenery and it has the inception-type music too. but the actual movie could be cut different.

also, i thought giving the yes/no to details was what the director does. i always thought the director was like the head coach, and the producer was like a GM. producers pick the director and can make big decisions, but it's pretty much in the directors hands for the details.

^ You talking about the Comic Con trailer?

That one was much longer. It's easy to find if you just search.

I hate superman, but honestly snyder and nolan make great movies and im sure it won't be as corny as superman usually are, they always create a darker universe in their movies.

Nolan's films pretty much all have a darker tone. From "following" all the way down to his latest work, which in this case just so happens to be the batman trilogy.

No based on every movie he has been involved in for the past 12 years.
And Snyder the last 8.
