Count yourself lucky man, I'd love to go back to college when everything was so much more flexible in terms of hand-ins and shit (Unless you go to Eton 6th form haha). Uni is a bitch work-wise, not so much the first year, but this 2nd year is yankin' my balls. If I turn in work like a minute late I get failed and then put on for a summer referral, shit's strict as fuck for something I'm pushing

I'd definitely do language over literature. But my college only had lang and lit or lit.

Yeah that's what i thought, I don't mind reading but when i went to like the open evening thing it sounded like i was gonna have to be reading like a book every week on top of all this other shit. And I think it allows you to be more creative than with lit so.

^ It's something we're all going through, common ground haha.

Yeah English is one of those subjects that if you don't work hard you might aswell not do. It's loads of essays that can only be done if you know the terminolgy. I like it to be honest, the coursework is pretty fun aswell.

For those who're picking their A-Levels now, I don't reccommend doing 4 essay subjects. I do Economics, History, English Language and Politics, all essay subjects, and it's so bloody difficult to keep on top of essays, I get like 3 or 4 a week.

Well I've picked Maths with mechanics, Physics, Film Studies and English Language. Pretty varied I know but it gives me more time to change/make up my mind on what i want to do as a career/degree.

But i've got a few friends that have picked 5 subjects including 2/3 sciences and further maths, I couldn't imagine having any spare time if i picked something like that.

Pretty good spectrum of subjects there.

That would be mindfuck, I know someone who took English Lit, English Lang, History, Politics and Spanish, within a week they were exhausted and had to drop one (History).

Yeah i haven't even had an interview yet, I think they're mid March. I only could really apply for 1 college because the other 2 near me only do mainly vocational courses like plumbing and shit.

I don't think it matters at this point. Just put things you'd be okay with doing if you had to stick with them. Usually in the first few weeks you can switch courses, but try to get like 3 that you're dead set on doing.

Wait, though. Shouldn't you have applied by now? WTF?

I changed my subjects on induction day. I swapped Business to English, simply because I got an A in GCSE.
