I know this isn't related to the brand and all, but I've started this "WDYWT" portion of the site where people can submit their "WDYWT's" I was inspired by whatsonewearing from years ago and I just finally decided to try it out. Lets see how it goes! Let me know what you guys think and come SUBMIT your steezy fits.
It must be full body shots.

I love this thread. You really can see the brands that are following the trends and the ones that are a lot more innovative.

I run an art collective/company called steady burnt. It isn't a drug reference. I just made these lately and figured I'd post it in here to see if people might like some of the stuff. We focus on music and visual arts a little bit more than clothing, but make this stuff on the side cause it's fun. The website is steadyburnt.com no www's and the tumblr is steadyburnt.tumblr.com if you get curious. We release mixtapes, do music videos, take photos, shoot/edit skating, and plan to continue hosting mixes by artists monthly. There is a blog on the website that covers new and upcoming artists/friends as well.

So there seems to be alot of brands in general creating there identity around drugs and dealing not saying it wont work for some but I just feel like lately its the easy way to go ....any thoughts?
Agreed. And I feel like it's a bad business decision because then you are limiting who your customers are.
Selecting a target market for your brand isn't a bad thing.
no its not, but its one thing to have your target market its another to do the same thing as the next brand..

Just started a clothing brand called The Curb Clothing Co.

It embodies late nights, hanging out with friends doing the same daily routine. Highly influenced in art and creative thinking The Curb is a movement in which everyone has done at one point of their lives which is kick'n it at the curb and tearing it up in the streets.

If you are about to start up a new line, think about image, check out our works.

Let me introduce us, we are PUERCO a Creative Boutique from Buenos Aires, Arg.
We make pictures, videos and graphic design, mostly for fashion.

i'm searching for an Account manager, a Production dealer or somebody that wants to partner up and give us work to do, and make an economic difference on the way.

The fact is that in argentina we are living an economic situation that could be interesting for outsiders. Let me explain, the american dollar has two values, one is the "official" $5,20= U$D1 and the other is a "Blue" dollar $9=U$D1, which is the only available for purchase, so working for outside the country is now twice cheap than before.
We can make high level productions for little money cause the dollar here worth a lot more than it seems.
Let me know if you're interested!
Kind regards,
Ian.

If you know your audience and can execute it, then you're golden. It seems easy, but you still have to have the presentation/execution. A lot of people just assume that being a streetwear brand your gear has to have "street cred" and hence the same drug/trappin shit cause none of these dudes want to be different

the designs don't come close to matching to what you're talking about.... I expected to see something fun, free, but this isn't really doing much.

Hey everyone our Initial Release just went live last night. Wondering if you wanted to check it out. Below is a little bit about what our brand represents.

An apparel brand that defines humanity.

Rare Reflection is a direct correlation to the world around us. Look into a mirror, every human being is rare, one of a kind. No two reflections are the same no two personalities are identical. The purpose of the brand is to promote each persons unique persona to the world. It is time to be proud of the unique individual you have become. Everything about the brand sets out to make a statement, the vibrant colors, positive slogans/ designs, and opulent presentation. We strive for individualism, there is over saturation everywhere and the entire world just seems to blend together. That is why every single piece designed will be extremely limited, and never re-released. You will stand out in the most "extra"ordinary way possible.

Oh god can people please stop writing ridiculous brand descriptions - brand identities are only valuable if they actually represent something, and the 'rarity' of human beings doesn't really mean anything. It just sounds like your trying to make your brand out to be more than it is - a couple tshirts...

Honestly, I'm not feelin' it. I feel like you have a great description of what you want your brand to be like, but then what you put out is nothing like your description. I also don't get the infinity sign...I don't get how that has anything to do with being rare. I feel like if you would have waited until you could release more than just a shirt with your logo on it, you would have been better off. Love the idea behind the brand, but the execution is poor and the designs aren't anything special. Definitely has potential to be something great though, you just have to take your time and really make something "rare"!
appreciate the feedback. If you read the description on each product. you can see why these specific designs were released. And this is just a promo release. The designs get more advanced. But nothing too crazy.

First the Rare across the chest is to promote yourself as a person. Thats what the entire brand sets out to do. By wearing the word you are stating how one of a kind you are. How unique of an individual you really are. Every human being has a rare reflection. No two are identical. The Logo was designed to help you make a bold statement as an individual. Reflect your passions, intensify your positivity. Be proud of everything you represent. You are unique and its time to promote that.

And as for the Infinite sign. If you look at it. The infinity logo is a reflection on its own. The Logo was designed to represent eternity. Each individual is unique in an infinite amount of ways. How you reflect yourself leaves an ever lasting impression. Be real since day one and in result you will reflect positivity forever.

This brand aint a "Swag" brand. Its street wear with a positive image behind it.
By wearing this brand you are not promoting it. You are promoting yourself.
not to be a dick, i just dont think anyone says to themselves when they're buying a tshirt, "yo this tshirt says rare on it, that'll totally promote me as a unique and eternal dude!!!"

The whole "rare/infinite/individualism" thing is getting kinda played out. Don't give a pretend-deep explanation of your brand if you can't execute it with your gear. It isn't a "swag" brand, but you aren't doing much to show that to people.... As @scottmcl said, no one is going to think of that when they see a tee.

Lol for real, and then we have to pay $30 for a AAA tshirt printed in some garage. If they were really creating a movement and trying to spread word about their lifestyle the should be slanging tees for $10.
