I had a lot of facial scars from random everyday mishap.

Bio-Oil basically made my entire skin the same tone.

Shea butter (depends on where you live) but amazon.com seems to have the best value. If you live in a fairly urban area with cultural shops, any african or "black" store might have it. Maybe even black hair stores. Thats where I get mine. MAKE SURE IT IS YELLOW TO BROWN IN COLOUR AND HAS A SLIGHT NUT SCENT. If it is clear and has no scent (Bath and Body works has this crap), it has been refined and lost most of it's healing properties. Its great for scars, stretch marks, dry skin, psoriasis, any skin issue really.

could i just type in natural shea butter in amazon and order something from there? thinking about getting this, seems legit but just want to make sure.

I wouldnt mix all of those things together. And I wouldnt exfoliate more than 2 times a week. 3 MAX. you'll irritate your skin. But those are gentle. Get Fresh Farmacy from Lush for just a simple gentle wash if you have no face issues.

does anyone know a good oil-free moisturizer (pref organic) to go with the african black soap?
is the black soap also a good way to get rid of blackheads on the nose?
thanks

There is nothing wrong with Apricot scrubs but the problem is, people think they can simply use it everyday, but you should only use 2-3 times a week.

Apparently raw natural shea butter works well with the african black soap.

I'm planning on copping these:

For those who bought that black soap, how has it turned out for you?

Been using for 3 years. Cheap and high quality. AHA every couple days, helps heal old acne scars and makes your skin look amazing.

Well I started on that regimen when I was 20. Used the cleanser, BP, moisturizer, and every other day the AHA. Cleared up my acne fairly well. Now I'm 24, and I only use the cleanser and the AHA.
I really really like the AHA product. The acid helps break down the bond between skin cells, so the dead skin can be shed easier. It also has the moisturizer in it, so it helps with any dryness. I'm not a huge fan of Benzoyl Peroxide, so I stopped using it as soon as I thought my skin was clear enough. Age, Diet, and Genetics play a bigger role in my opinion. It's decently cheap compared to other products I had tried. A huge thing of cleanser and one thing of AHA will last months.
Malin+Goetz is awesome stuff, but super expensive.

I heard black soap dries skin out really bad

ANY soap will dry out your skin if you do not have a moisturizer. A lot of guys dont realize the importance of using a face cream. But your skin will be dry as hell, and then get REALLY oily throughout the day because your skin is over producing sebum and oils to compensate for the dryness. If you moisturize your skin (using pure shea butter, or a good ALL NATURAL face cream (Kiss my face, Jason, etc)) over a few days your skin will not feel as oily because you are providing it with moisture (All natural = better, your body accepts this moisture a lot better).

Avoid moisturizers with Propylene Glycol (any kind of -lene glycols), parabens. Anything that you dont know what it is, or cant pernounce, or looks like a chemical, avoid it.

Aye I aint no bitchmade fairy boy who got like 1000 different facial products

that being said...am I only supposed to moisturize at night?
