So I'm planning on opening a streetwear boutique and I need some ideas. I've seen the layout of a few other places and I kinda know how I wana have it set up and I already know the name I want. I need info on wholesale places/sites also dropship if anyone offers it. I intend to cater to hypebeasts, sneakerheads, skaters, and those who lurk this site all the same. If anyone has info on up and coming brands I would like to use those as well as the typical staples. Reply w/ any brands you would like to c as well as what the perfect shop would be in your opinion.

Look at some Japanese (resell)stores for interior inspiration, they're always so clean and nice.

Still seems like you have a lot of work to do, but good luck man Im trying to do the same thing in my city, just in a few years. Your best bet with designing the interior and shit honestly is to just be creative as fuck. One of my friends owns a boutique and constantly switches up their visuals with random ass shit but its always dope. Like right now instead of having racks with hangers, he hangs all the denim on wooden pallets. Sounds weird but its dope in person, you just have to think outside of the box. Good uck

Ok ok thanks for the info. I should elaborate more; as of right now its a project for my Writing for Management class. I have to make the business plan for the company, but I do plan on making it happen down the road. Anyone know any total market specs such as annual revenue, profit margins, startup costs, annual expenses, etc? Also what the market size may be?

Opening a store right now is going to be really hard unless u have an amazing business plan to where the bank feels them loaning u the money is a good idea and wont cause u to go bankrupt.. Or u have investors into the the store like family and friends(good approach cause then u can take this money and show it to the bank when presenting the business plan)..

Also start up is alot of money, here is what i got when i asked around about opening a shop awhile ago(decided against it afterwards, still might open a store later on, not streetwear though), this is from other stores, my friends shop and others:

- Need atleast 1 years rent for your space
- a years bills paid off (estimated price)
- around $50,000-75,000 for Brands to buy( u dont want to start of with couple cause then there is no variety)
- money for fixtures, hangers, bags, computer, and etc.. All these things
- just some extra money for little things, just incase

so your total can look around 125K to 250K, all depends how deep u get into the store and space size...

Good Luck, if this is what u really want then work on that business plan, talk to other shops about starting up and the revenue and all hat good stuff.. Also shops arent going to give u pricing on wholesale until u actually have everything figured out... Also last thing to remember your first year will be the hardest because u will just be paying back your loan .. Hope this helped

sorry to bring back a dead thread. but if your still opening up your shop but hit me up if you want to get HUF into your store. If you send me photos of the shop, references, and a filled-out dealer app I can see what we can do..

thanks,
christian
