KITH Officially Reveals "Legends Day" Celebratory Collection Between Ronnie Fieg & ASICS

Ronnie Fieg and ASICS will be commemorating a 10-year relationship with a release of some rare models. Dubbed Legends Day, the launch is comprised of six total releases which gain inspiration from some of Ronnie’s most notable work. The offering will be split into Salmon Toe and Militia categories as each theme will be hosted on the Made in Japan GEL-Lyte III, GEL-Lyte III.I and GEL-Mai.

Its first drop will consist of both colorways of the GEL-Lyte III.I in addition to the Gel-Mai. This will then be followed by a second release which will include the Made in Japan GEL-Lyte III to be released at an undisclosed date later in the year.

The collection’s GEL-Lyte III.I was recently created and introduced by Fieg and has been in development since 2009. Combining the upper of the unforgettable GEL-Lyte III with the sole of the GEL-Nimbus, each hosts pigskin suede and will be offered in options of Salmon and Chocolate tonal colorways. In addition this will mark it as the last two pairs of the GEL-Lyte III.I model to ever release.

You’ll also find the GEL-Mai making its way into the launch in two options of all-white with a salmon outsole or an orange pigskin suede that rests atop of a sand midsole and gum outsole. Additional details that you’ll find within the model include its asymmetrical lacing system as well as floating heel counters.

To bring the Legends Day Collection full circle, each pair is presented within custom flap closure display box filled with additional laces, an exclusive set of pins, a pair of KITH x Stance crew socks, and either a carabiner or a fish-shaped stress ball (dependent upon which colorway purchased).

In closing, KITH adds an additional surprise to its loyal followers with the introduction of its Golden Ticket Program. Within randomly purchased pairs of the GEL-Lyte III.I and GEL-Mai are golden tickets which will guarantee its receivers the chance to snag the Made in Japan GEL-Lyte III Salmon Toe 2.0 or Militia. Those lucky enough to open their sneaker box to a golden ticket will be provided with instructions on how to move forward.

The introductory launch of the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Legends Day collection will kick off on November 22 at all KITH shops in addition to KITH’s website at 11 a.m. EST with the GEL-Lyte III.I retailing at $200 USD and GEL-Mai available for $180 USD.
