John Geiger & The Shoe Surgeon Bring Back The "Misplaced Checks" AF1
Celebrating an anniversary.
John Geiger is back to celebrate the two-year anniversary of his “Misplaced Checks” project. Once again with help from The Shoe Surgeon, Geiger delivers two custom iterations (high-top not pictured) for the commemorative pack. Taking on the art of DIY, you’ll find Horween leather, cement print, nubuck, pony hair, patent camo, perforated leather, vegetable tan leather and shark on the various “checks.”
Originally, Geiger’s “Misplaced Checks” was a response to his ideas being shot down by bigger brands, such as Nike. This then inspired him to challenge the brand by repositioning the Swoosh with exotic materials.
Retailing for $500 USD, the John Geiger x Shoe Surgeon “Misplaced Check” Lows will launch on October 21 at 12 p.m. EST via johngeiger.com. Be on the lookout for the high-cut versions as well.
