The endlessly influential Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto is back at it again, merging his technical aesthetic with much-loved adidas silhouettes for Y-3‘s 2017 fall/winter footwear collection. With standout accents and new elements, the drop features reworkings of the universally popular Stan Smith, as well as a fresh update on the Qasa High and the Noci.

Starting at around $360 USD, the collection spotlights the signature utility details that have become synonymous with the Y-3 brand. The Ryo High in particular is worth singling out for its versatility and array of all-conditions features, including a textile upper with leather detailing, detachable waterproof and windproof lace cover, canvas upper lining, mesh collar lining and suede heel lining, as well as Y-3 logo branding.

Shipping by September, the collection is available to pre-order now from vrnts. Take a look at the shots above and get to know the workings behind the Y-3 philosophy a little better here.
