Gordon Hayward has officially announced a new footwear deal just before he steps on the court for the 2018-2019 NBA season. Yesterday, the Boston Celtics forward revealed his partnership with ANTA, a surprising announcement since he was rumored to join New Balance back in July. The China-based sportswear company already has ties to fellow NBA elite such as Klay Thompson, Rajon Rondo and former Celtic, Kevin Garnett. The news was shared via Hayward’s social media accounts — his own GH signature sneaker, expected to drop next fall, was also previewed.

Take a look at Hayward’s announcement and kicks below and let us know your thoughts on his decision. In related footwear news, you can read up on Joel Embiid’s decisions to leave adidas for Under Armour.
