Casey Neistat Talks YEEZYs, Skate Shoes & YouTube on 'Sneaker Shopping'
Neistat isn’t exactly a fan of the “Wave Runner.”
Casey Neistat is the latest guest on Sneaker Shopping, joining Joe La Puma at Stadium Goods to talk high-tech sneakers, the YEEZY Boost Wave Runners, and YouTube. In the video above, the YouTube personality begins by giving kudos to Nike for its construction of the Nike MAG, less for its faithful Back to the Future inspiration, and more for its narrative of bringing awareness to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.
He also talks about his disdain for the YEEZY Boost 700 “Wave Runner,” and by extension, its Balenciaga-inspired design, of which he touched on previously in our street reaction video. He then talks about YouTube, where he gives credit to the platform for his career, as well as his love for subculture. At the end of it all, by the time Neistat left the store, he owed $2,776.31 USD for his three pick-ups.
