Size? Teams up With adidas Originals for a New Take on the Montreal 76
Going back to its roots.
Retailer Size? has once again joined forces with adidas Originals, this time reworking the Montreal 76. The shoe was originally reintroduced back in 2011 and it was first made to be worn as a post-game shoe for the German football team at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. The standout detail of the shoe remains the midsole unit, which uses a rubber surround on the heel. The idea behind the shoe is that it could be folded down into a slip-on, allowing for relaxed wear after wearing tough boots for over 90 minutes.
This edition aims to be a faithful recreation of the original shoe, adding a lower profile and perforations on the toe for breathability. It uses the original simplified logo and branding on the tongue tab. The adidas Originals x Size? Montreal 76 costs £85 (approx. $115 USD) from Size?.
