UPDATE: Netflix has released a new trailer for Daredevil season 3 that not only reveals its release date but also teases a darker Matt Murdock as he promises to “let the devil out.” Check out the new trailer above, and the season 3 preview trailer below, as well as the new season’s poster. Daredevil season 3 arrives October 19.

With Iron Fist season 2 launching today, viewers were treated with their first glimpse of Daredevil season 3, which shows Daredevil renouncing his identity as Matt Murdock and continuing as the Devil.

In the clip below, we see Daredevil in a confessional booth sporting his black outfit from season one, suggesting he’s embraced the darkness following his apparent death at the end of The Defenders.

“I once believed that justice could be found in a court of law, and in the light of day,” Daredevil says, “but I was fooling myself. Darkness only responds to darkness. And the thing is, I’d rather die as the Devil than live as Matt Murdock.” Daredevil‘s third season will likely drop sometime towards the end of 2018.

In related news, here’s our first official look at the upcoming Captain Marvel  film.
