This young NBA season has already seen some loud and unexpected kicks hit the hardwood. PUMA – one of the sneaker world’s comeback kids – has made their voice heard with a young core of athletes, namely the recent addition of DeMarcus Cousins. Recently, the newest member of the Golden State Warriors sat down with Nice Kicks’ Nick DePaula to reflect on what made him ditch Nike Swoosh for PUMA.

Cousins briefly reminisces about the tough offseason which combined the growing pains of an achilles injury and being an NBA free agent. During his time off, he shared that PUMA stepped up to the plate rather quickly with a genuine approach of how they pictured him to be part of the family. Cousins also divulges on what we can expect him to wear on-court with NBA’s new footwear rules. Lastly, he pokes some fun at Kevin Durant for losing his sneaker during a game.

Take a look at the discussion above and let us know how you think PUMA will impact the game of basketball. In related news, you can check out PUMA’s forthcoming Hot Wheels RS-X collaboration.
